Dixie Leathers has announced her retirement as Administrative Assistant at Ginter Park Baptist Church, effective Wednesday, January 15, 2017. Dixie has served GPBC for over ten years and has been an invaluable part of the life and day-to-day work of the church!
In her resignation letter, she wrote,
It has been a JOY to serve with this body ‘called GPBC’ as a member of the office staff in the Administrative Assistant position and as a member of GPBC. It has been a good place to be. That is what makes this so hard. You have filled my heart and touched my soul in so many ways. Just so you know I am not leaving this ‘body of Christ.’ I need to be a part of GPBC…just in a different role. I need to have more freedom…a little more flexibility with my schedule.”
It is good news for us that while Dixie’s role as a church employee is ending, her role as an active member of our church is not. Dixie looks forward to added freedom in how she participates and serves Ginter Park Baptist Church.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for Dixie’s years of outstanding service! We look forward to celebrating her retirement with a reception following worship on January 29, 2017.
