And she brought forth her firstborn, a son…and put him in a diaper, the first of hundreds he would wear – diapers that would not be covered by WIC, diapers that might strain the family budget. She would need hundreds of baby wipes, too…LOTS of diapers and wipes! Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella…and bring a couple of boxes of Pampers as well.
This Christmas season, in honor of the infant born in humble circumstances, we will collect the two items most needed by the Caritas Shelter Program for Women and Children: disposable diapers of all sizes and diaper-bag sized packages of baby wipes.
The children of Ginter Park Baptist Church have decorated boxes to contain these items, and the boxes will be in the Chapel until Sunday, December 17, to receive your gifts. Our donations will be given to Caritas before Christmas.
