Since 2014 our church has partnered with other churches to support ACTS, Area Churches Together in Service, a non-profit providing emergency financial assistance as a way of “closing the door on homelessness.” Due to the myriad families struggling financially during this period of loss and uncertainty, our Fall missions giving emphasis will focus on ACTS. At our business meeting last week, the church authorized a $5,000 gift to ACTS from the Charles and Dorothy Wood Emergency Fund and was challenged to raise an additional $5,000 from members and friends to be matched by a second gift from the Wood Fund.
