Church leadership has come to the conclusion that given the high transmissibility of omicron and the way our health care system is overwhelmed, the most caring thing we can do right now is to return to Zoom only worship for the rest of January.
The Thursday Bible study will also be only online for the rest of the month. Any upcoming board or committee meetings should also plan to meet via Zoom during January. (The Book Club meeting in February will likely be by Zoom, too.)
As the end of the month draws near, we will re-evaluate to see if we should continue via Zoom only or if we could return to our hybrid format.
Our plan is to open the Zoom room at 10 am per usual for folks to gather and fellowship, and then from 10:20-30, we will have a time of meditation with music and artwork. The service will begin at 10:30. At the conclusion of the service, folks are welcome to linger and chat for as long as they’d like.
The Zoom link remains the same and you are welcome to sign in at whatever point you feel most comfortable.
Many thanks in advance for your understanding. While nobody is super excited to be returning to an online-only format, we know it is a small sacrifice for the common good.
