Join us on Ash Wednesday, March 2, at 7 pm as we mark the beginning of Lent with a simple service of worship. The imposition of ashes is an ancient practice in the Christian Church and is central in this service. Scripture, song, silence, confession, and communion serve to invite us into this season of introspection on our journey of faith.
Lent is the forty days leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends with the dawn of Easter Sunday. The traditional purpose of Lent is as a season of reflection, confession, and repentance.
